      Everyone has a need for delicious Italian beef. Well there's a place for that. Portillos!  Dick Portillos started the business in a 6'X12' trailer named "the dog house". He then started expanding it renaming it 'Portillos'. Theres five different concepts to the portillos name(Portillo's Hot Dogs, Barnelli's Pasta Bowl, Honey-Jam Cafe, Luigi's House and Julian's Piano Bar).
       When you walk into Portillos in Shorewood, Illinois you get the old school feel. The music takes you back to early '60s. The smells can be smelled all the way from I- 59 . There's no chance of you not stopping by Portillos on an empty stomach
         Portillos' food is another thing that can be descibed as indescribable. They have anything from salads to italian beefs, ribs or even their ever so famous hot dogs. Portillos' is the one place where the whole family could come at any time of the day for great food.
         The people and service at portillos' is great full of joy and so much enthusiasm. They are very helpful to clean tables and help you find anything needed. Sometimes the place is crowded beyond belief but you never experience frustration. Food is just the way it would be any other day. Trust me, I've been there hundreds of times and all times of the day. Portillos' has a clean environment. You always see people sweeping or cleaning up after people leaving horrible messes.
         You can even experience portillos' through drive thru like a typical fast food place. Except Portillos' you have up to five people taking orders and having you pay your order. It makes the huge line go so fast.
          The best thing about portillos in my opinion would defiantly be the Italian beefs. They're amazing. Asking for both sweet or hot pepper or non at all give it that spicy kick, making it delicious. The Italian beefs are made just to satisfy ALL of your taste buds. If your looking for a place to find amazing Italian beefs this is defiantly the place to make a stop.

         If your hungry and want something fast and delicious , I recommend Portillos. Good food, fast and good quality service and employees.
